Lots going on!
On April 9 at 10:33 am, I delivered a beautiful little girl name Madison Reiley Poris.  She weighed in at a healthy 8lbs 1 oz.  Everything with the c-section went smoothly and both Madison and I are doing wonderfully.

I was so happy to be able to return to the barn on May 12.  It is great to see everyone again, and to be back to "normal", whatever that is!  The greatest relief is to be able to walk, not waddle, around and fit through the fence again! :)

In those six weeks I was out, Spring Sprung.  The grass has come up, the horses are getting fat, and the days are getting hotter!  Please remember to use your Artemis water bottles (or any other water bottles) when you come to ride.  Please try to avoid bringing the plastic, non-reusable bottles on property.  For one, they are a nightmare for our environment, two, they end up getting left behind and blowing around the property.  Also, remember to allow time to properly cool out your horse after a ride.  This time of year requires a little extra by ways of sponging and hosing them off, as well as some grazing time.  Please make sure your horse is put away looking better than when you brought them in!

You've probably noticed a lot going on around the property.  We have baby turkeys (anyone know the proper name for a baby turkey? is it a chick?), 2 pigs, and a pile of kittens.  If you know of anyone looking for a kitten this spring, ours will be ready to go home within a few weeks.

The summer schedule will be getting started in a few weeks.  Please be sure to sign up for your desired time-slot ASAP as they fill up fast.  Our Summer Horsemanship Program will also be starting July 6.  Please be sure to reserve your spot so we can make plans accordingly!  Slots are filling fast, so if you haven't already, please do so soon!

I apologize for not having the horse show results up.  As you know, for the first 2 Chesterfield shows, Ms Diane had to stand in for me, so I don't have the results.  The 3rd show, frankly, I just don't remember, lol.  I do know the girls have been doing great and are in the tops in the standings.  You can check the standings out at www.coursesbydesign.com .  We will be going to a very fun show in Huntington Valley PA on June 6 called June Fete.  It is a show and carnival.  Please feel free to come and join us, we're there ALL day!  for more info please go to www.junefete.org

We also now have a domain name : www.artemisfarm.com.  It is a work in progress.  When it becomes fully functional, this site will no longer exsist.  I will keep you posted.

Thank you all for your support and patience in the past several weeks.  Madison and I look forward to seeing you soon!
